Almost there …

It’s been a busy couple weeks here… I still have a ton of recent photos waiting to get sorted and uploaded. Most are from the Pats/Dolphins game back on 12/23 with the family. Work goes well, keeping me very busy, and in my spare time I’ve been putting the final touches on Stronghold for TF2. Mostly just lighting and clipping issues, but fans of the early early beta (b1) will be glad to know access to the upper ramparts is now back, and this time for all player classes!

Aiming to have this one off and away by this weekend, barring any last minute ’surprises.’

Happy New Years! Sidewinder is now updated!

It should work out a lot better this time! Some of the changes:

  • Added progressive spawns for both teams, activated by capturing the mid point
  • Revised capture and respawn timings
  • Removed the worthless pit in the middle, revised the middle area
  • Miscellaneous clipping issues fixed
  • Added more directional indicators throughout the map
  • Fixed *I hope* some doors that would stick when players stayed in the trigger area

Revised middle:

And lastly, the download:

17 mb (zip)

Enjoy!

Late night tablet adventure

Woke up in the middle of the night with a sudden desire to plug in the new Christmas toy, my 6×10 Genius tablet. Lots of crappy drawings in the near future, I guarantee it.

Took a solid 20 minutes to get familiar with the device, and there’s a lot more learning to go. But a solid start, this thing’s a blast!!

Team Fortress 2 Double Release

December 18th, 2007 by jparlay

Now available for public server rotations, I’m proud to release beta versions of both ctf_rocktumbler (Capture the Flag) and cp_sidewinder (Control Point). The level geometry remains essentially the same for both, but the alternate scoring and objective systems should yield a nice contrast between play styles. I am very curious to see which version becomes the favorite, and, as always, welcome feedback and opinions.

Downloads can be found here:

Enjoy!
