Currently revamping a lot of the site… switched to a linux hosting setup, wordpress, etc. I still have to decide on the best method to bring all of the old site content into the new format. Stay tuned.

Epic Commute

3:00 PM — …After scraping the ice from the car, I had no choice but to take 84 east to try and get across the Connecticut River, bound for Ellington. Over two hours after leaving work and about 6 or 7 near misses later, I still wasn’t within sight of the Hartford skyline. Hearing on the AM radio that multiple tractor trailers had jacknifed between 44 and 46, I decided to bail on Exit 43 into the back roads of West Hartford. The streets were a nightmare, and I heard on the news this morning that W. Hartford got 11″ of snowfall, some of the most in the state (aside from the NW corner). Not a great choice there.
5:30 PM — I made my way to a Shell station in town, fueled up, and borrowed a cell phone from the clerk to call Sarah. Our Simsbury branch got out at 1:00, and Sarah was already home by that point. I hung up with her and decided to try and make my way up to 291 and cross into the eastern portion of the state that way. I bought a map, de-iced the windows and got rolling again…

New Look

Actually, its the old look now. The last post off of the old site design, circa July 2007:
A new look for the site just in time for the CAMP2 release for Day of Defeat: Source. Not much functionality on the site yet, but with Tunisia finally out of the way I should slug through the web stuff pretty quickly. The big move in February/March went really well, but as you can tell (w/ the lack of updates), it’s been pretty hectic lately. Most of the links still don’t work yet, and those that do point to old style pages.

Pinebarrens (BG2)

Last Man Standing verion of pinebarrens it out. Its a simple variation on the original theme, with an added twist — 4 gameplay scenarios in one multiplayer map! Explanation and pictures here. Also broke ground on a Germantown level for BG2, and I’m still chipping away at a close-quarters map for Vivi’s Hard Rain mod. On a personal note, new job and a new apartment next week, so I’ll be off the radar for a little while. Huzzah for big changes.
